I previously tried to transfer a FB live video to my YouTube channel, but I was unsuccessful. Plus, there’s an element of permanent discoverability on YouTube that Facebook just doesn’t replicate (it’s why I’ll only send review copies of games to livecasters if they also post the video on YouTube). However, not everyone wants to watch videos on Facebook (live or otherwise). You can access them by logging into Restream, clicking on the Video Storage icon on the left side of your dashboard, then clicking the Recordings tab.For 18 months now, I’ve been hosting weekly, one-hour Facebook Live sessions on the Stonemaier Games FB page.
Restream will save a copy of each of your broadcasts as well. If you go live on Facebook using Restream, you’ll be able to stream to other platforms, like YouTube and LinkedIn, at the same time. You can only do it on a desktop or laptop computer. Note: You cannot download previously streamed Facebook Live videos on mobile. You can then save the video as a file on your computer. Check to make sure the video plays, then right-click on the video and select Save Video As. It won’t start downloading right away it will go full-screen instead.
Then, click on the three dots in the top right corner and click Download Video. On your profile page, scroll down until you find the post containing your live video. You can also save a Facebook Live video by going to your page or profile, finding the video, and downloading it. Your download should start automatically. In the top right, click on the three dots, then click Download Video. Under your videos, click on the video you want to download.
You can download your Facebook Live video by logging into your account, navigating to your profile, and clicking Videos. The video is also saved in your Facebook video library. Facebook saves all of your live videos as posts as soon as the stream ends.
